Stamping Materials
Stamping Material diversity.
Stamping Material used at Ditron varies in both makeup and format. We are proficient in handling a wide variety of very thin gauge metals. This includes Beryllium Copper which requires carefully controlled heating in inert atmosphere ovens in order to achieve desired C17200 tensile properties.
Stored on coils or “pancaked” and stacked, these often delicate raw materials range in size from .0015 to 1/32 of an inch thick. Mastering the forming characteristics of these materials, Ditron is able to meet tight tolerances while forming loose-piece and continuous-strip parts ranging from microscopic to several inches in size.
Raw Materials Ditron routinely stamps:
- Beryllium copper: age-hardenable C172 or mill hardened all alloy
- Phosphor bronze: all alloys, unplated and pre-plated
- Copper
- Brass
- Stainless steel: 300, 400 and 17-4 PH series
